Despite a couple of grievances, the Acer Predator Triton is a fantastic laptop for someone who needs a boatload of power and a super fast screen in a relatively compact form factor. Acer lists the Triton 500’s MSRP as $2,599, but you should be able to get $400 off or more at retailers like Microcenter, B&H Photo Video and Best Buy. As laptops with RTX 30-series graphics cards trickle into the market, the Predator Triton 500’s price will keep getting slashed, making this excellent laptop a better and better deal as time goes on.

For a gaming laptop at RM8699, the Triton 500 is developed in such a way, that is it well balanced in terms of design and functionality. It is more than capable of handling almost any task you throw at it, from general productivity work to hardcore gaming. I'd say the only thing that's lacking in this beautiful package are good speakers, as the current ones are too mediocre. But personally, with specs such as these, I’d say that the Triton 500 offers a good value for its price and the only other direct competitor with similar specs, would be the ASUS Strix II for the price of RM8999 which is slightly more expensive.

With its asking price of under two grand, the Predator Triton 500 is strong value for money for demanding gamers who need a genuinely portable device. While the lack of a dedicated 4K display is a shame considering that muscular GPU, an Ultra HD panel would have jacked up that cost – and at least you can sort that out with an external screen (or three).

So where does the Predator Triton 500 land? At $1,800 for the version here, it’s decently priced. We say that because we know some will want to compare the Predator Triton 500 to other laptops with the same or slightly better components, and a similar or smaller price. We’d bet a box of donuts those laptops are generally bulkier, though.

Acer have brought their Triton 500 notebook just on time. With the whole laptop world slowly converting to low profile, lightweight, monstrously powered devices. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q:

De här grafikkorten bör klara av alla nuvarande spel med acceptabel bildfrekvens, men inte nödvändigtvis med höga inställningar. Särskilt krävande spel kanske bara fungerar med låga inställningar. Till skillnad från prestandakorten hittar man däremot de här grafikkorten i bärbara datorer av lite mindre format med bättre batteritid.
