Fyra större Android-uppdateringar är utlovade, så den ska hänga med upp till version 19, år 2029. För en mellanmobil som denna får det ändå anses godkänt, men det hade varit trevligt med senaste mjukvaran från början. Andra goda egenskaper i mobilen är ip68-klassning för full vattentäthet, wifi 6e-stöd och en snabb och pålitlig fingeravtrycksläsare i skärmen. Slutligen vill jag ge en pluspoäng för ljudet. Det är betydligt bättre än i de andra av Xiaomis vintersläpp. Mer behaglig ton i mellanregistret och en bas som faktiskt hörs. Vad det beror på låter jag vara osagt, troligen mer plats i chassit. Allt som allt är Poco M8 Pro en riktigt lockande mobil. Då den kostar betydligt mindre än Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, men inte har några betydande nackdelar, och dessutom bättre ljudkvalitet, är det svårt att inte ge den en rekommendation.

En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.
