Mer prestanda för mindre pengar – One E8 är definitivt ett intressant alternativ om du gillar plasthöljet. Det har ärvt många bra funktioner från One M8 samt den mindre HTC One Mini 2, som faktiskt var bättre än M8 på vissa punkter. Kameran i One E8, till exempel, har högre upplösning och batteriet räcker längre, samtidigt som du får mer prestanda.

Mjukvaran, den trevliga designen och den stora pekskärmen är fortfarande bra. Ljudkvaliteten från högtalarna kan inte riktigt hänga med motsvarigheterna i One M8, men de är ändå mycket bra för att sitta i en smartphone. Vi kan inte bekräfta eventuellt fusk i tester som 3DMark 2013 den här gången, så det blir inga poängavdrag.

HTC One E8 är tillgänglig för cirka 400 euro och kan faktiskt konkurrera med prestandaprodukter. Det finns några små nackdelar som höljets styvhet och de begränsade kommunikationsfunktionerna, men HTC One E8 är ändå värd en rekommendation till alla som vill ha en mycket bra smartphone för lite mindre pengar.
