Dell Latitude 12 E5270 är en bärbar dator för företag med många säkerhetsfunktioner, vilket ofta är avgörande för inköp. De nya Skylake-processorerna ökar prestandan något jämfört med tidigare generationer. Batteriets livslängd har också förbättrats tack vare ett något större batteri. Priset är dessvärre högt, även om datorn är oklanderligt byggd och är styv.

Gränssnitten är förnuftigt placerade och kan utökas med en dockningsstation. Många köpare har kommit att uppskatta sådana små detaljer och är beredda att betala för dem.

Ett bra första intryck försämras tyvärr av panelens ganska dåliga kvalitet. Skärmen är inaktuell och hör definitivt inte hemma i en företagsmaskin i den här prisklassen, även om det går att uppgradera mot en merkostnad. Panelens låga ljusstyrka försvårar arbete ljusa miljöer kraftigt. Vi hade också uppskattat en snabb SSD som lagringssystem. SSD-priserna har sjunkit drastiskt den senaste tiden jämfört med konventionella hårddiskar.

Vi gillar också det enkla, tunna men ändå styva chassit. Prestandan med Intels Core i5-6300U är definitivt tillräcklig för rutinuppgifter. Pekplatta och tangentbord håller hög klass. Det senare är också begåvat med användbar bakgrundsbelysning i två ljusstyrkenivåer.
