Amazons Fire HD 10 är lite annorlunda jämfört med konventionella surfplattor. Den använder inte vanliga Android som operativsystem, utan det modifierade Fire OS – som är helt centrerat runt Amazons tjänster.

De som inte bryr sig särskilt mycket om Amazon kan ändå fatta tycke för Fire HD 10. Man får en ganska välkonfigurerad platta med en ljusstark IPS-panel, snabbt Wi-Fi, förbluffande bra stereohögtalare och anständig batteritid för en bit under 2 000 kr (199 euro).

MediaTek-processorn i Fire HD 10 är inte den snabbaste kretsen på marknaden, men har mer än tillräckligt med kraft för spel och surf. Därför kan Fire HD 10 definitivt rekommenderas som en prisvärd surfplatta för surf, e-post och media-appar – särskilt eftersom det går att övertala den att installera Googles tjänster, inklusive Google Play, som erbjuder betydligt fler appar än Amazons egen butik.
