Spin 3 SP314-21N-serien från Acer står för bärbara 2-i-1-datorer i 14-tumsformat som drivs av AMD APU:er. Vår testenhet är utrustad med en Ryzen 3-3250UAPU. Den konvertibla är inte okänd för oss, eftersom den är det identiskt byggda syskonet till den Intel-baserade Spin 3 SP314-54N. Bland konkurrenterna finns enheter som t.ex HP Pavilion x360 14ochLenovo Ideapad Flex 5 14ALC05.

Väska och utrustning - Spin 3 har USB 3.2 Gen 2

Acer använder ett silvergrått hölje med matta och släta ytor av aluminium och plast. Convertible visar inga fel i utförandet. Det finns inga ojämna springor och vi märkte inga materialutsprång. Den mängd med vilken basenheten kan skeva är knappt acceptabel. Batteriet är inbyggt och du kommer åt insidan efter att ha tagit bort botten av höljet.

2-i-1-enheten erbjuder två USB-A-anslutningar (USB 3.2 Gen 1) och en enda USB-C-anslutning (USB 3.2 Gen 2) som varken stöder DisplayPort via USB-C eller Power Delivery (= ström via USB-C), vilket är olyckligt. En extern bildskärm kan anslutas via HDMI. MicroSD-lagringskortläsaren visar sig vara en av de långsammare modellerna med hjälp av vårt referenslagringskort AV PRO microSD 128 GB V60.

Acer erbjuder några Spin 3-modeller som är utrustade med en aktiv inmatningspenna, t.ex Spin 3 SP314-54Nsom vi redan har testat. Pennan är då placerad i ett fack på höger sida av höljet, och den kan också laddas där. Den aktiva pennan ingår dock inte i utrustningsversionen som vi testar här. Eftersom pennfacket är stängt av ett lock skulle du inte kunna använda facket för att hysa pennan eller ladda den.

De WLAN-överföringshastigheter som vi fastställde under optimala förhållanden (inga andra WLAN-enheter i närheten och nära avstånd mellan bärbar dator och serverdator) är inte längre aktuella. Orsaken är lätt att hitta: Det Qualcomm QCA6174 WLAN-chip som används erbjuder endast maximala överföringshastigheter på 867 Mbit/s.

Windows 10 Home i S-läge fungerar som operativsystem. Du kan dock utföra en gratis uppgradering till den vanliga Home-versionen av Windows 10, och vi utförde denna uppgradering för att kunna genomföra våra tester

Inmatningsenheter - SP314 har ingen tangentbordsbelysning

Chiclet-tangentbordet är inte upplyst. De platta tangenterna har en något grov yta och har en kort slaglängd och en tydlig tryckpunkt. Tangentmotståndet kunde ha varit skarpare. Tangentbordet har en viss liten eftergivenhet när du skriver. På det hela taget levererar Acer här ett tangentbord som lämpar sig för vardagliga uppgifter.

Den släta ytan på den multitouch-kapabla ClickPad, som har ett fotavtryck på cirka 10,5 x 6,5 cm (~4,1 x 2,6 tum), gör det lätt att föra fingrarna vidare. Padden reagerar också på inmatningar i hörnen. Den har en kort slaglängd och en tydlig tryckpunkt.

Pekskärmen stöder upp till tio beröringspunkter och svarar snabbt på inmatningar. Den kan manövreras både med fingrarna och med en penna med aktiv inmatning. Ett kort test med den universella inmatningspennan "Bamboo Ink" som vi använde var framgångsrikt. Bluetooth-anslutningen mellan pennan och Spin 3 fungerade felfritt.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 52 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 21145 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

IPS-panelen ger stabila betraktningsvinklar och kan läsas från vilken position som helst. Utomhus kan du dock knappt läsa den eller till och med inte tyda något alls, eftersom den låga skärmens ljusstyrka och den reflekterande skärmytan förhindrar detta.

Prestanda - Acers 2-i-1-enhet har en Ryzen 3 APU

Med Spin 3 SP314-21N erbjuder Acer en 2-i-1-enhet som ger tillräcklig prestanda för kontors- och internetprogram.

Testvillkor

Spin 3 erbjuder inga tillverkarspecifika strömprofiler, utan Windows standardprofiler används. Vi utförde vårt test med profilen "Högsta prestanda" aktiverad. Effektgränserna för APU:n är 25 watt (PL1) och 35 watt (PL2).

Processor

CPU-delen av Ryzen 3-3-3250UAPU (Picasso) består av en dubbelkärnig processor med en grundläggande klockfrekvens på 2,6 GHz. Via Turbo kan klockfrekvensen ökas upp till 3,5 GHz. Simultan multitrådning (två trådar per kärna) stöds.

Processorn körs genom flertrådstestet i riktmärket Cinebench R15 vid 3,4 till 3,5 GHz och genom enkeltrådstestet vid 1,6 till 3,5 GHz. Vid batteridrift körs processorn vid 2,6-3,4 GHz (multitråd) och 1,6-2,4 GHz (enkeltråd)

Vi utvärderar om CPU Turbo också kan upprätthållas konstant genom att köra multitrådstestet i riktmärket Cinebench R15 i minst 30 minuter i en slinga. Turbo körs med varierande hastigheter.
