The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 is a fantastic value laptop, seeing a leading performance and battery life despite costing a few hundred quid less than the competition. The only things holding it back from a perfect score are a bland design and a few minor omissions.

With a starting price of RM3499, I think this is an excellent laptop for work and creating contents. Personally, I totally love the battery performance and dual stereo speakers. The face unlock feature and the auto-brightness adjustment are nice additions as well. If you want to play some games, it's still fine but just not Triple-A video game titles. Laptops like this are generally quite expensive and could go over the RM5K mark easily, but if compared with the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 which we reviewed earlier this year, I would prefer the Yoga Slim 7.

As an all-rounder, I'm having a hard time finding any other device that offers the same kind of value for the same kind of money as this Lenovo IdeaPad (Yoga) Slim 7. This is the most capable implementation of the mobile AMD Ryzen platform we've seen so far, and Lenovo didn't skimp on the build quality, screen, thermal design, speakers or inputs either. At the same time, don't expect this to feel as premium or offer all the bells and whistles available on 2000+ USD/EUR ultraportables, because it doesn't. But it's also a much more affordable option, and pretty much unmatched in its segment right now.

AMD Vega 8:

Grafikkort integrerat i Ryzen APU:er baserat på Vega-arkitekturen med 8 CU:s (= 512 shaders) och en klockfrekvens på upp till 1.750 MHz.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.

R7 4800U:

Mobil åttakärnig APU som innehåller Zen 2-kärnor med en klockfrekvens på 1.8 till 4.2 GHz samt ett Vega-grafikkort med 7 CU:s och en klockfrekvens på 1750 MHz. Jämfört med den snabbare 4800H har 4800U ett lägre TDP-värde, men grafikkortet är snabbare.
