Huawei MatePad Pro Max är en förstklassig 13,2-tums surfplatta som främst är avsedd för konstnärer och andra kreativa användare. Dess OLED-skärm med upplösningen 3000 x 2000, uppdateringsfrekvensen 144 Hz, smala ramar och den valfria PaperMatte-ytbehandlingen har fått omfattande beröm. Trots att den bara är 4,7 mm tjock har den 12 GB minne, upp till 512 GB lagringsutrymme och ett batteri på 9760 mAh, samtidigt som den väger 509 g. Kirin 9030 Pro-processorn ger god allmän prestanda, även om grafiklösningen Maleoon 935 inte är klassledande. Recensenterna berömmer även byggkvaliteten, ljudet, bärbarheten, pennupplevelsen och tangentbordstillbehören. HarmonyOS saknar dock Googles tjänster, den är fortfarande inte ett praktiskt alternativ till en bärbar dator och priset på 1 099 euro försvagar dess värde jämfört med äldre Huawei-surfplattor och alternativ från Apple.

The Huawei MatePad Pro Max is here and -- EXCEPT FOR THE SILICON -- it is the absolute best tablet hardware I've ever seen or tested. The tablet brings a 13.2-inch flexible OLED display with the thinnest bezels among tablets, and the display has an anti-reflective matte texture on the surface. The entire tablet measures just 4.7mm thick and weighs 509g, or about 1.1lbs. The Huawei Glide Keyboard is also thin, has spacious keys, and stores the stylus in a clever hidden compartment. It's the best looking and best designed tablet on the market by far in my opinion. The only area where this tablet is not class-leading is the silicon.

Qualcomm Maleoon 935: Grafikchip för smartphones och surfplattor, integrerat i HiSilicon Kirin 9020. Tyvärr ger Huawei inte någon detaljerad information. Det som är säkert är att det inte stöder hårdvarubaserad ray tracing och endast den äldre Vulkan 1.0-standarden.
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
