If you glanced at this phone for a second, you’d be forgiven for thinking Apple just dropped the unreleased "iPhone AIR 2." The Honor 500 Pro leans heavily into that premium aesthetic with a flat screen, metal frame, and a build quality that feels incredibly high-end. But once you look past the design, the specs tell a completely different story—one involving a massive 8000mAh battery and camera features that might actually beat the iPhone at its own game. This isn’t just a lookalike; it’s a powerhouse. From the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip to the AI-driven portrait modes, Honor is throwing everything they have into this release. I’ve been testing the Moonlight Silver version, and honestly, the "runway" camera module is more than just a design choice—it actually makes holding the phone horizontally for gaming way more comfortable.

The Honor 500 is baffling me a bit. Usually, when a phone is this thin and light, you expect the battery life to take a massive hit. But somehow, Honor managed to stuff a massive 8000mAh Qinghai Lake battery inside a body that feels as light as air. It’s genuinely one of the most impressive engineering feats I’ve seen in a mid-range device this year. Design-wise, they’ve nailed the "Super Standard" concept. We’re looking at a unified 6.55-inch display across the whole series, which is arguably the sweet spot for size.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
Qualcomm Adreno 830: Integrerad grafikenhet i Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC för smartphones med tre skivor med 1,1 GHz vardera. Integrerad 12 MB delad cache för de tre skivorna. Enligt Qualcomm 40% snabbare än föregående generation (Adreno 750).

SD 8 Elite: High-end SoC (System on a Chip) för smartphones som presenterades i slutet av 2024. Det integrerar två snabba Oryon Gen 2 Prime-kärnor med upp till 4,32 GHz och 6 mindre Oryon Gen 2 Performance-kärnor med upp till 3,53 GHz.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (SM8735) är en avancerad SoC (system-on-a-chip) som används i smartphones och surfplattor i premiumsegmentet. Den är officiellt det billigare alternativet till Snapdragon 8 Elite och sägs vara upp till 49 procent snabbare än sin föregångare, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. CPU-delen består av fyra kluster: det första består av en prime core (Cortex X4) med upp till 3,2 GHz, det andra av tre performance cores med upp till 3,0 GHz (Cortex A720). Effektivitetsklustret består av fyra energisparande enheter (Cortex A720), varav två arbetar i upp till 2,8 GHz, medan två andra klockar i upp till 2,0 GHz.
