Several conclusions. First, if you need a laptop that will last long time on one battery charge – that laptop ain’t for you. Although I’m pretty sure that the battery issue has something to do with drivers / Windows / bios, currently this is the situation, and Eurocom reply to me didn’t unveil any future plans to handle it (although they might be working on a fix).

For $3,348, the Eurocom Racer 2.0 is one tricked-out gaming notebook/desktop replacement that delivers solid performance and graphics with a matte display. However, its short battery life and somewhat plain chassis give us pause. To keep things in perspective, the Alienware M17x costs $700 less, but offers a sleeker design, comparable performance, longer battery life and sweeter backlighting features.

AMD Radeon HD 7970M: Ett mobilt grafikkort från AMD baserat på GCN (Graphics Core Next)-arkitekturen, med 1280 shaders och en 256-bitars minnesbuss.
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
