The Asus G75VW-DS71 is a 17-inch desktop replacement notebook with a strong focus on gaming performance. Asus built it to have speed, especially the graphics performance and with the inclusion of a Thunderbolt port. While having good overall performance, it does fall a little short of what we expected.

ASUS touts the $1,799 G75VW as the ultimate fighting machine, and while that declaration may be more hyperbole than fact, the notebook is no slouch when it comes to gaming. The G75VW delivers where it really counts -- playing the latest games at silky smooth frame rates -- and it looks great doing it. Considering that a similarly configured Alienware M17x costs about $200 more, the G75VW is a good choice for anyone looking to buy a 17-inch gaming notebook.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
