The Chromebook Vero 514 is a well-built and lightweight Chrome-based laptop that provides a versatile workhorse computer at a competitive price. It can handle a variety of routine tasks with no trouble at, and will certainly appeal to people who are fans of ChromeOS, or simply want to try an alternative to Windows for a change. Pricing is fairly competitive - although it's getting close to the point where you might want to consider a conventional Windows laptop as well, particularly if you need more memory for more intensive tasks. We'd take a bit more battery life too. Still, if you're looking for a laptop with some eco credentials to back up a good performance for day-to-day tasks, the Vero 514 is well worth a look.

I don’t like Chromebooks, but I did like the performance, keyboard, webcam, battery life, and rugged nature of the Acer Chromebook Vero 514. It lost some points with the display and design, but it really messed it up with the touchpad. If you’re willing to spend some extra cash, I suggest going for the Acer Chromebook Spin 714, since it offers a great upgrade all around, including touch and 2-in-1 capabilities. But overall, the Chromebook Vero 514 is a decent choice for the money.

The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 has a slightly odd chassis design that you may either love or loathe, and its eco-credentials are a tad underwhelming. In general, though, it's a fast-working Chromebook with a decent screen, excellent webcam and comfortable keyboard. Admittedly, it's not a good choice for serious gamers, or anyone wedded to 4K. But for everyone else, it offers solid value at a very reasonable price.

The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is a phenomenal pick for those who want an eco-friendly everyday laptop. The hardware inside promises strong performance and the exterior is both rugged and uniquely designed. In terms of aesthetic and sustainability, it’s definitely a welcome change from your typical run-of-the-mill Chromebook. There are only a couple of downsides to the Vero. The audio is lacking, but that’s not too surprising. Laptops aren’t known for the best audio. You’re also stuck using ChromeOS, which means your apps and game options are limited. If you don’t mind those miniscule nitpicks, then the Chromebook Vero 514 is definitely worth considering.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.

En Alder-Lake-baserad mobilprocessor med 2 prestandakärnor och 8 effektiva kärnor. Prestandakärnorna har hyperthreading, vilket gör att 12 trådar kan bearbetas. Processorn körs vid frekvenser som sträcker sig från 0,9 till 4,4 GHz. TDP är specificerad till 15 watt.
