Acer didn't skimp, however, when it came to performance. The Aspire S7 models come with a latest-generation Intel Core i5 processor or even a fast Core i7 chip in the highest end models. (All models come with 4GB of RAM.) That means all your business productivity apps will have plenty of horsepower at their disposal—even demanding apps such as video- and photo-editing programs. Try that with a tablet.

An aesthetically-pleasing and well-designed laptop that doesn’t break the mould too much, but proves there’s still a lot of life in the Ultrabook format. Battery life is a let-down, but otherwise it’s a great competitor to Google’s Chromebook Pixel - and unlike that grand folly it includes an operating system that actually works.

Initially, we were sceptical about the idea of a touchscreen laptop that doesn't fold into a tablet. And yet, the Aspire S7-391 convinced us that it will win some people over with its good processing power and touchscreen that's more for occasional use than full-on tableting. The biggest issues with this ultrabook are the audio components and fan noise.

All in all, the S7-391 is a nice laptop to use and show off. It would be nice to have an 8GB option and better battery life, but neither is essential for the vast majority of users. The design and overall usability are top notch. And it's an eye-catching system, sure to draw attention whenever you pull it out.

Intel HD Graphics 4000: Den integrerade grafikkretsen i Intels Ivy Bridge-processorer. Prestandan varierar mellan olika processormodeller (ex. ULV eller fyrkärniga). 

En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.
