Casios nya G-Shock-samarbetsmodell har en stilren halvgenomskinlig blågrön boett och en lavendelfärgad urtavla.
Jae Tips is doing a second G-Shock — the Bronx designer announced "What Time You On? 2.0" on Instagram overnight, and it is landing at ComplexCon in Los Angeles on October 3 and 4. He runs Savior Worldwide and is better known for footwear, with collaborations behind him at Saucony, Adidas, New Era and Hat Club.
There's something worth knowing, though. The artwork says preorder only, so nobody's walking out of the convention center with one. You place the order at the Savior by Jae Tips booth and wait. A limited run also goes up online at SaviorWorldwide.com on October 3 (for anyone who can't get to LA).
The watch is a DW-6900 again, and it's translucent this time around. The case and strap are a clear teal green this time, with a blue strap keeper and a red G button. the base under the display is lavender. There are three sub-circles inside multi-coloured rings; it's one of the details that gets carried over from the first one. So did the flower from Jae Tips' logo, the "Forever on some fly" line under the display, and the custom backlight that throws up a "Savior" graphic when you hit the light.
Förpackningen är också temainspirerad: du får en grön plåtburk täckt av blommor, med Jae Tips blommiga logotyp på locket, samt en matchande ask med frågan som samarbetet har fått sitt namn efter.
Som referens var version ett DW6900JT25-2. Den lanserades på ComplexCon Las Vegas i oktober förra året för 150 dollar, kom till Savior Worldwide den 31 oktober och till Casios amerikanska butik den 7 november. Den är nu slutsåld hos Casio i USA.
Varken pris eller modellnummer har tillkännagivits för 2.0. Om Casio följer samma mönster bör en bredare lansering ske några veckor efter mässan.
