Also, the FX502VM is surprisingly thin and relatively portable. Yes, sure we would have really appreciated a more premium selection of materials but let’s not get too picky.

The basic FX502VM is a nice machine for gaming for the price of $900-$950 (with discounts) in terms of performance/price ratio and in terms of thermal performance. The I5-6300HQ CPU is pretty good choice to go along with such a GPU for gaming. If you are after some heavy rendering, an I7 will probably be faster, but for gamers it’s not that important, plus it is considerably less hot. However it lacks some key features that might be important for some people. No Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1gen2, USB Type-C ports and also, only 1xM.2 SATA connection for M.2 storage (along 2.5″ bay). If these are dealbreakers for you. don’t get it. Secondly, the basic display is really rubbish – it might hurt your eyes if you’ll use it for too long too much. However, it is replaceable.

The touchpad is also wobbly and unusable in some cases, although we suspect that the issues we had with it are limited to our unit. Still, the reviewed laptop is not a pre-production sample and we got it directly from the retailer, which means that there is bad quality control. In any case, we liked the keyboard quite a lot, which is more important for a gaming-oriented machine.

However, the main drawback is the measly 4GB RAM which makes it not as good for multitasking. This can easily be remedied by adding another 4GB RAM stick but you will have to pay a bit more than the normal price.

Asus:
De här grafikkorten bör klara av alla nuvarande spel med acceptabel bildfrekvens, men inte nödvändigtvis med höga inställningar. Särskilt krävande spel kanske bara fungerar med låga inställningar. Till skillnad från prestandakorten hittar man däremot de här grafikkorten i bärbara datorer av lite mindre format med bättre batteritid.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile:
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile:
Grafikkort från mittenskiktet baserat på Nvidias Pascal-arkitektur och efterföljare till GeForce 960M. Tillverkas i en 14nm-process hos Samsung och dom tekniska specifikationerna är väldigt lika desktop-versionen.
