Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Om du håller MSI GS63VR i dina händer får du inte intrycket att detta är en spellaptop. Den smala, lätta enheten påminner mer om en mobil företagslaptop. Skenet kan bedra - enhetens hårdvara kan köra alla dom senaste spelen smidigt på den matta Full HD-skärmen med höga eller till och med maximala grafikinställningar. Bildhastigheten hamnar dock en aning bakom jämförbara laptops.

En blixtsnabb NVMe SSD resulterar i ett väldigt responsivt system. SSD-enheten kan inte bytas ut på ett enkelt sätt. För att göra det måste man ta bort hela moderkortet. Att byta ut den inkluderade 2.5-tums HDD-enheten är mycket lättare. Det bra tangentbordet borde göra den som skriver mycket nöjd. Batteriet står sig bra. Den snabba SD-kortsläsaren och Thunderbolt 3-porten är också värda att nämna.

MSI fokuserar på snabba responstider snarare än stabila betraktningsvinklar.

Den matta Full HD-skärmen glädjer med en utmärkt kontrast-ratio och snabba responstider. Ljusstyrkan borde varit högre på en laptop med denna prislapp. Det vi har att göra med här är en TN-skärm med dåliga betraktningsvinklar. Men MSI använder en bättre sorts TN-skärm, som har bättre betraktningsvinklar än många modeller som sitter i lågpris-laptops.
