Apples mångsidiga arbetshäst MacBook Pro 15 är nu tillbaka på samma prestandanivå som konkurrenterna tack vare Kaby Lake-uppdateringen. Den nya modellen är därför mer attraktiv – särskilt för användare som behöver så mycket CPU-prestanda som möjligt. Apple inkluderar numera även en snabbare GPU med basmodellen, vars styrka definitivt är effektivitet och låg värmeutveckling. 

Men det finns få andra anledningar att uppgradera. Tangentbordets konstruktion har förändrats något, men det är inget vi kan utvärdera de långsiktiga effekterna av i nuläget. Skärmen är fortfarande utmärkt; detsamma gäller chassit och temperatur/ljudnivåerna. De två största nackdelarna är återigen bristen på portar och en hög prisnivå. Fyra Thunderbolt 3-portar gör dig vanligen beroende av adaptrar och hubbar, men datorn kan fortfarande ha problem med 2,4 GHz trådlösa nätverk i kombination med USB-C-enheter. 

Instegsmodellens prislapp är fortfarande väl tilltagen, men SSD-uppgraderingarna är extremt dyra. Det förändrar däremot inte det faktum att MacBook Pro 15 är en av de bästa bärbara datorerna i klassen.
