The HTC One M8s doesn’t feel new or exciting. It feels like a repackage of the One M8s, with some of the flashy bits traded-in for cheaper components. However, after starting off skeptical, we’ve come around. You know what: the One M8s makes a lot of sense, especially when it has none of the naff bits of the ‘Mini’ flagship alternatives of the last few years.

HTC sure knows how to confuse us, and with the One M8s we are positively stumped. On the one hand, you have the One M9, a metal thing of beauty that packs all of HTC’s smarts and tech features into one glorious looking package with absolute disastrous battery life, and on the other hand, consumers can find the One M8s, a recycled product that outperforms its high-priced M9 brother in so many ways and supports the DotView cases that don’t work on the M9.

Once HTC sorts this, the HTC One M8s will make a neat phone for people who'd value something that looks and feels great over one that can take beautiful photos or crush benchmarks with awesome CPU power. But for now it's a bit too problematic.

The HTC One M8s makes an appealing alternative to the HTC One M9 if that's out of your budget. It has a premium design and excellent specs, but it's not different enough to the One M8 for us to recommend an upgrade if you own last year's HTC flagship. If you're considering a high-end HTC smartphone, the One M8 is well-worth investigating and we'll be bringing you our full review soon.

Qualcomm Adreno 405:

Bara vissa äldre spel kan spelas flytande med de här grafikkorten. Kretsar med delat minne har fördelen att de utvecklar mindre värme och ger längre batteritid. De duger gott för kontorsbruk, surfande och enklare bildbehandling, men spel och HD-video är inte i syftet med de här kretsarna.
